Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a country located in South Asia, bordered by India to the west, north, and east, Myanmar to the southeast, and the Bay of Bengal to the south. The capital and largest city is Dhaka. Bangladesh has a rich cultural heritage, influenced by its history, religion, and traditions.

The area that is now Bangladesh has a long history of civilization, with evidence of urban settlements dating back to ancient times. It was part of various empires and was significantly influenced by Hindu and later Muslim cultures. In 1947, it became East Pakistan following the partition of British India. After a struggle for independence, Bangladesh gained its freedom from Pakistan in 1971.

The country is known for its lush landscapes, including the Sundarbans mangrove forest, home to the Bengal tiger. Bangladesh's economy is primarily based on agriculture, but it has seen significant growth in the garment industry, making it one of the largest garment exporters in the world.
