Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a British overseas territory at the southern tip of Spain on the Strait of Gibraltar, a strategic point between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, with the iconic Rock of Gibraltar dominating the landscape and home to Europe’s only wild monkeys.
With Phoenician, Roman, Moorish, and Spanish influences, it has been under British sovereignty since 1713, blending British and Mediterranean elements with both English and Spanish spoken.
Main attractions include the Rock with views over the strait, St. Michael’s Caves, the Moorish Castle, and historic military tunnels.
