Guayana

Guyana is a country in the northeast of South America, bordered by Venezuela, Brazil, and Suriname, with the capital being Georgetown. It gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1966, and its culture is a mix of indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. The official language is English.

The economy is based on natural resources such as gold, bauxite, timber, and oil, as well as agriculture (sugar, rice, and fruit). Guyana is known for its wilderness, Amazon rainforest, and waterfalls, including Kaieteur Falls.

The climate is equatorial, with a rainy season from May to November.
