Morocco Agencies
The Morocco Agencies were British postal offices established in Morocco during the colonial period. They operated from 1857 to 1957 in areas under international, French, and Spanish control.
Initially, Britain used its own stamps overprinted with "Morocco Agencies" and denominations in pesetas or francs to adapt to local currencies. These stamps facilitated trade and communication for British citizens and other foreign nationals residing in Morocco.
With the end of the French and Spanish protectorates and Morocco's independence in 1956, the Morocco Agencies ceased operations the following year. Their stamps are now sought-after collectibles, valued for their historical and philatelic significance.
